Swiss Alps, here I come!

A few weeks ago, I got caught up in a YouTube rabbit hole watching Sean and Emily ride the Swiss Alps; at that time, I had no idea I would have an opportunity to see these beautiful places. I will link the videos at the end.

As some of you know, I have some incredible opportunities to travel, given my job and my wife’s job.  Her travels have taken her or us to London, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Melbourne, Sidney, Dublin, Toronto, Vancouver, and many other cities. She got word earlier this year that there was a week-long work event in Eastern Europe, but it was not 100% that she would be assigned.  We got word that she would be going to Prague a few weeks ago. Given Prague’s proximity to an area of Europe neither of us has been to, it got our minds exploring opportunities.

I quickly started searching flights and found a gem that would take me from Austin to Milan.  This part of Italy sits right at the base of the Alps and provides an incredible launching spot for me to rent a motorcycle and fulfill my dream of traveling the Swiss Alps.

I quickly jumped over to Rever.co and started mapping my day and my routes based on Sean and Emily’s rides, along with a few friends who also gave me some great advice.
